First, we wanted to formally announce the addition of our "Past Steals" page. We have gathered up old goodies and made a page for you to purchase them on. Even better is we will combine the shipping for you! So shop away but do not delay 'cause once it's gone, it is gone! Now, for the shipping update. As many of you know we have struggled with the shipping charges since we opened our doors in June 2009 and now with the addition of the past steals page it has made it even more difficult for us to accurately calculate and charge the correct shipping. So as of Saturday October 16th we are moving to a calculated shipping model. This will allow you to pay exactly the amount charged by the USPS. The charges will be calculated based on your zip code and the weight of your entire shopping cart. This will allow us to deepen our discounts offered to you and in some instances save you money on the shipping! As always, please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. Have a great weekend! Stephanie |

Sneak peek.... Silhouette Machine at a Steal!

What is the Silhouette?
The Silhouette is a digital cutting tool for personal use. It connects to your computer just like a printer, but instead of printing designs it cuts them with a small blade. With the machine connected to your computer, you'll get access to all of the fonts on your PC plus the thousands of cuttable designs found on the Silhouette Online Store. What Can the Silhouette Make?
Cards
With the Silhouette you can create handmade greeting cards with designs and sentiments perfect for the occasion no matter what it is. And making duplicates is as easy as a few clicks of the mouse. The Silhouette Online Store even has unique card templates from scalloped edges to flourish windows to pop-up sentiments.
Custom Apparel
With the Silhouette's intricate cutting ability and freedom to choose and customize designs and text, creating custom shirts, jeans, shoes and more is easy enough for anyone to do. Cut and iron on simple phrases or intricate layered designs in heat transfer material or add some bling to your wardrobe by cutting rhinestone templates with a Silhouette rhinestone starter kit.
Scrapbook Pages
Scrapbooking has never been easier than it is with the Silhouette. When it comes to shapes, titles and paper embellishments, the Silhouette can do it all! You'll have access to nearly all of the fonts on your computer and, with the included software, you'll be able to cut your designs in any size to get the perfect fit for every layout.Be sure to have a Silhouette cutting mat on hand so you can save and cut your scraps.

Temporary Tattoos
Afraid of needles? Temporarily rebelious? Buy this and cut it out for your arm.Sketch Designs
The Silhouette can turn any design into a sketch. Just take out the blade, pop in a Silhouette sketch pen and watch the Silhouette draw intricate patterns.Vinyl Decor
Vinyl decor is quickly becoming one of the most popular ways to decorate homes in America. Easy to cut, self-adhesive, and removable, indoor vinyl is the perfect way to add your favorite quotes and designs directly to the walls of your home. Best of all, Silhouette vinyl is priced just right so you can just peel off your designs when you’re ready for something new.Bonus features
By now you know that the Silhouette is a tool that cuts cardstock, vinyl, vellum and other papers, but did you know what else it can do?SKETCHING
The Silhouette blade can easily be interchanged with special Silhouette pens in order to draw designs instead of cutting them. With a pen in the machine instead of the blade, the Silhouette will make the same motions, but will draw your design rather than cut it.PRINT & CUT
The Silhouette is also equipped with an optical sensor to allow precise cutting of printed designs. Open your favorite clip art in the Silhouette software, arrange it how you like, then print it out on your home printer. The software will print small registration marks on the page which will allow the Silhouette to align the cutting blade perfectly with your printed artwork. With the Silhouette, the possibilities are endless.Sunday, August 29, 2010

Introducing our August Guest Designer...Susan Zennario
Name: Susan Zennario
Where do you live: I live in a small town called Absecon which is just outside of Atlantic City, NJ. The beach is my backyard and I love it. Unfortunately due to a poor high school sending district where the curriculum is even below state minimums, we will be moving before the start of NEXT school year, as my son will be entering High School and I can’t afford private school. We won’t be moving far though…just one town and a way better school district over!
Family members: I have two sons, John-20 and Matthew-13, one daughter, Susie-12. I am a widow, having lost my husband unexpectedly several years ago but I have a wonderful man in my life now, John, who I have been with for almost 6 years. We all share our lives with our 13 year old cat, Cloudy!
Favorite movie? Since I was a little girl its been Breakfast at Tiffanys. I have such great memories of watching it with my mom. I still can’t pass it by on the TV if its on.
Name 3 of your favorite candy bars. Whatchamacallit, Butterfinger, Snickers Almond
Name 3 musical artists you enjoy. Jack Johnson, Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews
Favorite (NSR) store to shop? Target
Name 2 of your favorite colors. Pink and Pinker
Favorite thing to do with your family? We love to travel. We save to make sure that we take at least one vacation a year. This year we are lucky and taking two!!! We will be visiting Busch Gardens, VA NEXT weekend for a short getaway and we are in the planning process of a cruise sometime in February!
Favorite thing (non-scrap related) to do without your family? Listen to Audiobooks and play on Facebook! I’m a Farmville junkie!
What's your favorite scrapping tool to use when scrapbooking? That changes frequently depending on what I am working on. Right now it would have to be my Zutter Distrezz-It-All. I just wish it wasn’t so loud!!! Make it hard to use when the rest of the house is asleep!
Name 3 of your favorite SB companies/lines. Bo Bunny, Bella Blvd., My Minds Eye
Name 3 of your favorite embellishments to work with. Flowers, Bling and Buttons
What size do you scrap in and do you stamp/ make cards/Digiscrap? I am strictly a paper scrapper. I think some of the digital layouts I’ve seen are beautiful, but I have a deep passion for touching paper and playing with all my goodies! I do not stamp….that is not to say I don’t have TONS of stamps…I do. But I am not good at it AT ALL and since I do not make cards either, I often don’t have a use for stamps.
What are your favorite adhesives? I LOVE My ATG gun!! When I can’t use that, I still use the same adhesive I’ve been using since I started scrapping which is a ZIG Fine Point Glue pen. I have recently been using Helmars Scrap dots too which are great for those lumpy layouts I seem to make lately!
What is your top two fave holidays? Christmas and my Birthday! What?? My birthday is not a holiday you say? It is in my neck of the woods!!! J
What's the one thing you must have readily available when you sit down to scrap? My laptop. I grab inspiration from all the blogs I visit! Speaking of blogs….I’d love for you to visit me! My blog is Paper Daisy Dreams and can be found here: http://paperdaisydreams.blogspot.com
Here are Susan's fantastic layouts using today's Blue Sky Collection kit:
Stay tuned throughout the month more of Susan's work!
Thank-you Susan!
Have a wonderful week!
Stephanie
