Happy Holidays & "Steal" a Crafty Steal Event!

Wow...December has flown by and now we are almost to 2010. Time flies when you are having fun, I guess!

Crafty Steals has grown tremendously over the past 6 months and that is all a result of you .... the awesome customers who have referred friends, found us on facebook and love a steal! And of course my family who has supported this venture from the start (i.e. my dear husband who helps package steals until the wee hours and my boys who are just perfect little helpers)!

So to celebrate the season and to thank-you all for a great year I am giving you a coupon to save even more $$ during our "Steal" a CraftySteal Event!

"Steal" a CraftySteal Event

What: We are cleaning out and have a bunch of past steals that need to go to make room for a fresh batch of 2010 steals. Receive combined shipping during the event to save even more.

When: December 26th - December 29th (Multiple steals each day, when one sells out another will replace it...so keep that computer handy).

Where: www.CraftySteals.com

  • International shipping will be based on the total weight of the package at the end of the week
  • You will be charged only the USPS shipping cost, no handling fees
  • Shipping will be adjusted to a combined rate at the end of the event before your credit card is charged. Updated receipts will be included in your package.
  • All packages will ship on 12/30 or 12/31. However, if you finished your shopping early just send an email and your package will ship out immediately.
Important Note:

Your items will not stay in the cart throughout the event so you will need to purchase the steal each time. All "steals" will be held until your purchasing is complete and your credit card will not be charged until the items are shipped (it will show as a pending transaction on your CC statement).

Thank-you for a great year!

Fiskars Blowout Weekend!

So I was just browsing through my inventory and noticed that I have an unbelievable amount of Fiskars punches...seriously. I was able to a score a major steal a few weeks ago and I think it is time to pass the savings along! But I also have a ton of Fiskars goodies from several months ago that pretty much need to go.

So let's have a Fiskars weekend with combined shipping!

Here is a sampling of what I have ... Squeeze Punches (these are awesome), Border Punches, 12 Punch Set, Paper Trimmer...lots of good stuff!

Also, I will be combining shipping...so shop away and you will just be charged one flat shipping rate of $4.99. The Fiskars products will run Friday morning through Sunday night, when one sales out, another will appear. Fill your box up for just $4.99 postage, US and Canada only.
(Note: When you checkout you may get charged shipping but I will adjust it and only charge you once).

Here are my guys enjoying one of the upcoming Fiskars steals...they love it and I love it because it keeps them busy for at least 45 minutes, punching and glueing, who knew! :)

A little bit of Fall...

So I feel like Fall is in full swing here in Texas...finally the never-ending rain has subsided and hopefully the Pumpkin Patch is in our near future. They were actually closed due to mud as a result of something like 12 days of rain this month. That's just crazy talk for this area...I actually passed on some clearance raincoats for my kids a few months ago and I cannot believe that I am kicking myself now for not buying them. :)

We did manage to find a semi-nice day and go the State Fair of Texas. It was so much fun! We did pass on the Fried Butter but did enjoy a Fletcher's Corny Dog. Maybe you saw Oprah enjoying one... :)

Anyway, back to business...be on the lookout for some Fall products this week...a big ol' Fall kit tomorrow, some Unity Stamps and maybe a few more surprises!

Have a great week!

Is Crafty Steals an Authorized Reseller?

So yesterday someone made a comment on my blog about Crafty Steals not being an authorized reseller of EK Success products. I was a little miffed by the comment and maybe even a little upset about it. I am not sure where this individual got their information or lack of it but I wanted to address it.

CraftySteals.com is an authorized reseller of all the products and brands sold thru the website. All of the "steals" are bought by me personally directly from the manufacturer. All are brand new and first quality. So you can always feel confident that your purchase is top quality and legitimate.

I will be happy to answer any question, feel free to email me or leave a comment.

Have a great day!

Happy October!

*Free shipping for US and Canada only. Sorry International folks it does not apply, but I will discount your shipping.

October is also soccer season and my little guy looks so darn cute, I could not resist sharing. :) Six 4 year olds playing soccer is just about the funniest thing ever...maybe I will put a video out here one of these days :)

Tomorrow's Steal by Unity Stamp Co.

So I have been eagerly awaiting this product and I must confess that I love this company. You know how sometimes you are just drawn to a particular brand or store...that's how Unity Stamp Co is for me. I think it is because their stuff is just super cute, Angela's Blog is so fun with music and I can definitely appreciate a new company with an awesome product.

I am not really even a "stamper" but I love their products...because they are the old school "red rubber" and made in house (right here in the USA). I actually had to restrain myself from ordering everything :)

So I finally decided on the new August Store Kit...only available to stores and released just this month...and I am able to offer it at a Crafty Steals price! Whoohoo!

Check out Unity Stamp Co when you have a chance...leave me a comment and let me know what other products you love from them (they may just show up on CraftySteals.com!)!

See you tomorrow!

Sunday, August 2, 2009

Well, its been a week...

So I am not sure what happened to last week...it went by in a flash. It was actually kind of a crazy week...instead of the normal 100+ degree days here in Texas it was a cool 80's and low 90's with (shocker) rain! Which in turn just kind of threw us all off...soccer was cancelled, lots of time spent indoors, no pool time (which majorly upset my little guys).

Needless to say I got out of my groove...and now I need it back! I did not blog, no newsletter...major slacking on my part. Sorry y'all!

Here are a few pics of my favorite little future rockers making the best of a rainy evening...

I am a Mac...

So this entry has really nothing to do with Crafty Steals but since it has been a week I felt I needed to blog something. So I am in the process of converting my life to Mac...I decided that I had enough of Microsoft freezing and randomly shutting down so I went out and got myself a Macbook. So far I love it...no freezing, it boots up in like 15 seconds and iphoto is awesome.

So far the biggest issue I have had occurred when my 3 year old had a rather embarrassing "accident" right in the middle of a very busy Apple store on Sunday afternoon. As if that was not bad enough he felt the need to announce it by yelling loudly "Mommy, pee pee!" across the store to me. The joys of parenthood and potty training.

Okay one business update...expect some new goodies by the end of week...more to come!

So here is a picture I edited with iphoto...love it!

*US and Canada only for the free shipping but I will discount international postage rates.*
I also hope everyone had a super fun & safe 4th of July! We definitly did! Our friends threw a party for the recordbooks...BBQ, bounce houses, fireworks...it was awesome. Thanks Lori and Sean, we had a great time!

Potential Issues During Checkout

I was just made aware that there could be an issue during checkout...apparently authorize.net experienced a fire last night and so far this morning not been able to process any transactions. If you would like to purchase the Kaitlin kit by Crate Paper and the system will not allow you to complete it, please email me and I will reserve one for you. I may be able to accept Paypal as a form of payment until everything is back up and running.

***Update: We are back up and running however....if you placed an order in the for the Kaitlin Kit I do not have it...it did not go through. Please reorder it and feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. Thank-you!***

Canada Shipping Update

So I now have a solution for all my Canadian friends...you will be charged the US postage rate. So if you look at my shipping info page Canada will be charged using the Domestic table. All other countries will be charged using the International table.

Thanks everyone for your patience while these issues got worked out!

(My husband actually worked in Toronto for a year, so here is a photo I took while visiting one weekend...I think it summed up our experience quite well, so many fun places to go...this was before children of course :))

Free Shipping Tuesday!

I have some exciting news...tomorrow will be free shipping for all US and Canadian orders! When one product sells out, I will put another one up shortly thereafter. So keep checking back...it should be an exciting day!

I will also be combining all of the orders, so you can expect one package with all your goodies!

Have a great day!

For my friends in Canada...

You may have noticed that the shipping charges are a little high, rest assured I am working on correcting how the website calculates shipping for Canada.

For now we have a little workaround, I will put the shipping amount in the item description field and will correct your invoice before your credit card is charged. You will still see the higher amount upon checkout however I will email you a corrected invoice for your records.

Sorry for the confusion...but we will make it work!

Thank-you for your patience!

Follow-up on the Library...

Just in case anyone was wondering the library fell somewhere between 1 & 2 (see earlier post). Not really perfect angels and not totally horrible either. I maybe got one dirty look and we did not get kicked out, so I say it counts as a successful trip!

I forgot to take my camera to the library so instead here are a few pics of the boys enjoying their finds.

Stalking my UPS Man...

So I am eagarly awaiting my UPS man today (which of course means he will not show up before 5 pm). Why, you ask? Because he is bringing me a shipment of totally unique paper and embellishments that I cannot wait to get my hands on. I think I am even going to snag a couple of these steals for myself :)

Here is a sneak peak, if you have never heard of this company, you should definitly check them out: http://www.cratepaper.com/

I hope to have the steal from Crate Paper online tomorrow...so be sure to check back (you will not be disappointed!).

That's it for now. I am thinking I may try to take my boys to the library today. This will be a new experience for them...I can see it going one of two ways.

1) they have a great time looking at books and picking some out to take home

2) Complete rowdiness...running through the aisles, dirty looks, the whole bit.

Keep your fingers crossed for the first...I will let you know.

Summer fun!

I am trying to come up with some new, fresh vendors..,possibly expanding my daily steal offerings to include other crafts, like knitting, quilting, etc. Please leave me a comment if you know of some really great brands that I should check in to. I am open to any and all suggestions. :)

So summer is finally upon us...Dallas, Texas is a cool 100+ degrees every day this week. So pretty much if you are outside you are at a pool...which is exactly what we did today!

Working out the kinks...

Hi all-

My awesome web developer is working out some of this morning's kinks...but the product is now up! We are currently missing a couple of images so I will post them here until they appear on the site.

As with anything new this website had to have special coding to make it work properly...so this weekend we are working out the bugs with timing.

Thank-you for your patience!

Here are the close-up images of the 3 Cosmo Cricket Rub-ons:
